Testimonials
Tony, I cried when I finished reading the book today. I loved the work that you did. I can't thank you enough. You have been the savior of my book with your vivid and clear wordplay that the reader can relate to and visualize. This book is based on a true story and very raw. When I began writing this book it was geared towards one specific reader. You were able to paint a more diverse feel for the story while still capturing it's essence. The book was good based on my own writing skills, but you made it great! If you want to bring your writing to life Tony Shaker is the best to do it! Thank you and God Bless you for all of your help.

I lived through the events described in my first two books, but you brought everything back to life in a way that makes me tear! During WWII, I was the youngest resistance commander in Nazi-occupied Greece, and didn't expect to make it...From an old man to a good friend, who might just as well have fought the occupation by my side, please accept my heartfelt thanks for all your work.

I have just finished reading the manuscript. This is phenomenally good! You have said basically what I wanted to say in an extremely eloquent way that I wasn't even close to accomplishing. I can't believe it, but this is one of the best nonfiction reads I have come across in a while.

I have just completed the process of publishing my first manuscript, and I must say that you have helped me find the most eloquent and highest expression for my thoughts. I want to acknowledge your tremendous contribution to my personal success and that of my book project. I look forward to using you as my resource to support all of my writing needs. You are a true master at what you do.

Dr. Shaker, I have read the manuscript and I am so darn impressed with what you have done I can't find words to express it. You are definitely a master at what you do. I hope you will allow me to include you in my acknowledgments, because I want those who read the book to know about you...You certainly deserve that if you would allow me.

Before Anthony became involved in my project I was never going to complete my, book, Two Rivers of Gold. Frustrated I turned to him for help and in a short time, with his guidance, the project was completed. He was candid, helpful, understand- ing and professional. Recently I started another novel and will no doubt seek his help at some point. In between projects he has always been available to answer questions and assisted me in the search for an agent.

I found working with you a pleasure and an experience that helped me grow as a writer. Even when I found that I didn't agree 100 per cent with your solution to a problem, I saw that there had, indeed, been a problem to solve. Usually, however, the problem was mine and the solution yours.

I can't tell you how much you have helped me with my writing. I want to thank you for the great job you did editing my manuscript. Your work, according to an agent in D.C., was exceptional. Thank you again. If I had known about your work before my book Footprints Of The Garden Snake was published, it would have saved me a lot of time. Oh by the way, you may purchase a copy on line at Amazon.com.

Ghostwriting Service | |
What are ghostwriting experts supposed to do? In a nutshell, a ghostwriter creates original content professionally for a client, or do it on behalf of a friend, family member, etc. He or she may also rewrite or revise written content, not just compose it from scratch. Rewriting involves changes to the plot/subplot, structure, character, style, voice, grammar, syntax, diction, etc.
The real author in all of this is the person who hires me and the one who owns the copyright to the work.
A ghostwritten work is normally based on an idea, outline and/or notes supplied by a client. I may need to conduct further research and interviews, if the material you provide is insufficient to complete the job. The main thing is to grasp your ideas and perspective, and then to express what you want to say, only more effectively.
The end-product is a finished book or other kind of copy, which you may self-publish in traditional print or as an e-book, unless a reputable publisher can do it at no cost to the author.

Let Your Word Stand Out AFS Wordstead is a ghostwriting service you can depend on for skill, flexibility and literary resources. Don’t take unnecessary risks with your personal or business project.
- Without well-honed writing skills to create a book or an effective marketing copy, you can’t expect others to take notice of you. What good is it to be a fountainhead of great ideas if you’re invisible?
- Without an effective business voice that conveys decisiveness and authority, how can you expect people to buy into your ideas?
I turn client inspiration into written masterpieces, at a price all my clients appreciate. And I’ll never charge you for anything besides what our signed agreement clearly stipulates.
Hiring Ghost Writers
The people who hire me have a visceral need to:
- Write their memoir, autobiography or a story based on an unusual episode in their life.
- Relate their business/professional experience so others may learn.
- Promote their goods/services.
- Narrate an irresistible tale they happened to make up.
Some of them would love to express their thoughts and ideas on their own, but they simply lack the time. Others consider writing a detestable chore, one they've successfully avoided since high school. What they lack in skill they seem to make up in passion for their subject matter. If you feel the way they do, it'll definitely show in any copy you try to create.
I love my craft. So, if you have no confidence in your writing skills, I could always teach you how to do compose on your own. There's no doubt it'll cost you less. Besides, I admire people with the grit to be independent. But if you want to shorten your path to success, you'll need to spend a bit more money by hiring a proven writer, a professional who will listen closely to you and write content that reflects your originality.
Fly-by-night operations like many of the ghosting/publishing services you see advertised on the Web simply won't do. Moreover, it's better to find someone who specializes in one area alone: writing, publishing or author representation. Anybody who claims to be a writer, publisher and literary agent all rolled in one is unlikely to be very competent in any of these areas.
Another way to lower your cost is to hire a beginner with an English-lit or a journalism diploma. Now that's dirt cheap! Beginners are all spirit, I grant you, but they lack the experience to take your project to fruition. It takes years of practice to master one's native tongue, and English isn't even the most difficult language. I should know, having learned five languages. If you think even a fifty-year-old with doubtful experience can give you serious results, you may be in for a huge disappointment.
My clients have good reason to seek the services of a seasoned writer like me, but their criteria seem to boil down to one: whoever they hire has to be able to do the job better than they can, NOT WORSE.
WHAT I WON’T DO
I NEVER ghost write works intended for professional peer review or academic grading. However, I do edit them, since editing in these two categories is an institutionally accepted practice.
Results You Can Count On
The professional writer you hire has to bring your “story” to life, whether that story is a fiction, nonfiction, business or memoir. This is no mean task. He must have the talent to use your store of memories, knowledge and experiences. There's no way to produce a unique “narrative” otherwise. Plus, that writer must have the resources to finish the job.
Look around you. Books are getting published every day. Web publishing in every form...we live in exciting times. Communication technology has empowered more people than ever to speak to audiences much larger than their immediate circles of family, friends and work relations. This is your chance to contribute your own voice.
When I was a young, I couldn't imagine how any mortal being could write the kind of horrid-looking, pictureless books lying in my father's library. Only a machine had the slavish devotion to do that, I thought. It turned out that people did write them! Of course, today there is text-generating software that can do it painlessly and in massive numbers. Incidentally, that's another way you could cut your costs. But beware. The best content that software can produce isn't worth the virtual page it's published on.
Feel the Difference
What I offer should give you a strong fighting chance with the publisher/agent to whom you plan to submit your manuscript. A well-streamlined manuscript means the difference between having your foot in the publisher’s door and a great opportunity lost.
Part of my job is to allow your future publisher to see success in your manuscript, enough to give it a fair reading. And it makes no difference if you plan to seek a reputable publisher or self-publish. I will continue to advise you, beyond the terms and conditions of our writing agreement, until your book is printed.
And I do all the work myself. For some years now, it’s been my policy not to outsource, especially involving ghostwriting and rewriting jobs. This, I found, was the surest way to maintain quality of writing and personal service. I adhere to the industry's highest standards and maintain ironclad confidentiality in every aspect of the client relationship. My goal is to give you unmatched value and quality for your investment.

Take It to the Next Level
Expert consultation. You may be the most talented person in your field, but if you don’t have the time or proper skills to write effective content, you won’t be able to propel your project forward. At some point you need to hire an “expert eye” whose objectivity you can rely on.
Simple process. Unfamiliar with current writing, editing or publishing practices? You will find my step-by-step process of writer-author collaboration simple and supremely flexible. Over the years, I’ve developed it with a mind to enable my clients to express their ideas and give me their honest feedback at every stage of my work.
Rewarding experience. I will provide you with uninterrupted, personal service until we achieve what you came here for. Some clients who seek my writing expertise tell me that having their story ghosted by someone is almost as satisfying as penning it themselves. I want to make sure you enjoy this, perhaps your first consultation experience.

Overview of the Ghostwriting Process
I realize how much your project means to you, but also that you don't have an unlimited budget. Therefore, I will design a project that best fits your goals, cost expectations...and yes, personality. Only a dyed-in-the-wool writing professional can pull this off!
At AFS Wordstead, the process is simple and flexible. You will know exactly what to expect right from the outset.
Ghostwriting clients hire me to create their material from scratch based on notes, diary, research, or perhaps a rough draft they want completely rewritten. Sometimes they come to me with almost no notion of how they want their “story” told. So, we start chatting. I ask them:
- Why do you want to create this book or other kind of copy?
- What do you really want to say to your readers?
- What do you hope to achieve by it?
Once we agree on a firm set of ideas and sign a writer-author agreement, I will work on a rough outline, do the preliminary legwork (which may include initial research), and prepare the first submission for you to examine.
What I will NOT do is abandon you after the end of our contract term.
Even the best authors need editors. That’s why so many authors, both good and mediocre, ask me to edit content they’ve labored at but still can’t finish properly. Despite their frustration, they tell me there’s something oddly therapeutic about writing. Tell me about it! I write for a living. Their main regret is not having hired a seasoned writing expert to get them sooner to the finish line.
So, let’s get your project moving!

Format
Every job is formatted according to proper standards and conventions:
Ê Books are typed in MS Word or in Word Perfect in standard page layout or, upon request, according to the submission requirements of a particular literary agent or publisher, if any. (Your agent, publisher or printer may have special submission requirements.)
Ê Scripts are formatted in FinalDraft software, one of the most widely used by scriptwriters and media people.
Ê Web page and other forms of online copy are formatted in MS Word. Thereafter the client is responsible for uploading or submitting the text for application on the designated online site, unless otherwise stipulated in our contract.
